Hawaii

Hawaii is a tropical paradise offering a perfect mix of natural beauty, adventure, and family-friendly experiences. This was my children’s favorite vacation so far. We explored Maui and Oahu, with so much more of Hawaii still left to discover.

Each island has its own personality: Oahu’s beaches and cultural landmarks, Maui’s scenic drives and whale watching, the Big Island’s volcanoes, and Kauai’s lush landscapes.

Families can explore stunning beaches, hike through rainforests, or learn about Hawaiian history and traditions.

With kid-friendly resorts, outdoor adventures, and safe, welcoming environments, Hawaii provides endless opportunities for bonding, exploration, and creating lifelong memories. From surfing lessons to luaus, Hawaii blends relaxation, culture, and adventure for every member of the family.

Don’t let the long flight deter you from going— it is beyond worth the trek.

What To Do

On Curaçao, visitors can explore colorful reefs and marine life through snorkeling and diving in calm, clear waters. Family-friendly beaches like Playa Porto Mari and Cas Abao offer spots to relax, while quieter coves provide a peaceful escape. In Willemstad, you can walk across the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, visit the floating market which provides fun for the whole family, and admire the island’s iconic Dutch colonial architecture. Families can explore Hato Caves, Shete Boka National Park, or the Curaçao Sea Aquarium. Boat excursions to Klein Curaçao reveal pristine, uninhabited beaches perfect for a day trip. Cultural experiences abound, from local markets and art galleries to lively festivals showcasing the island’s music, food, and traditions. For a touch of local charm, Curaçao is also home to Chichi dolls and Kokolishi scarves, unique handmade souvenirs that reflect the island’s heritage.

When To Visit

The most ideal time to visit Curaçao is December - April. This period offers ideal weather conditions with warm, sunny days and minimal rainfall, making it perfect for diving, snorkeling, and other outdoor activities.

The great thing about the ABC islands is that they sit outside of the hurricane belt so there are no months you have to avoid.

Is now the time I tell you that I’d highly recommend you pair this island with Bonaire? They are so close and they’d offer you two different experiences while allowing you to still enjoy island life. Go from a quiet, nature-focused, and outdoorsy island to a more colorful, culturally rich and lively island.

How To Get Here

Some airlines fly direct into Curaçao. While other airlines fly direct into Bonaire and then you take a 20 minute flight to Curaçao. This 20 minute flight was the first time I experienced being able to see the pilot fly the plane. You also get real up close and personal with the other 14 people on board.

You will need a valid passport to enter Curaçao.

From beaches to culture, I know Curaçao firsthand and can design your ideal family vacation
